NEXUS Award

We are honored to announce that AI for HOPE has been selected as a recipient of the Nexus Award, a prestigious university-wide initiative launched in 2023 to support convening, research, and teaching anchored at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. This award will enable us to lead a groundbreaking series of translational workshops focused on leveraging AI-powered strategies to address inequities in deaths of despair—suicide, substance use, and alcohol-related mortality.

 

Our initiative, "AI-Powered Strategies to Address Inequities in Deaths of Despair," will bring together experts from public health, data science, policy, and affected communities to translate cutting-edge AI research into actionable, equity-driven solutions. Through this series of workshops, we aim to bridge gaps between technology, policy, and community needs, ensuring that AI serves as a tool for health equity and harm reduction rather than exacerbating existing disparities.
